We departed Wolfies Campground in Zanesville, Ohio and headed east on I-70 passing through eastern Ohio and West Virginia, and stopping in Somerset, PA. It took us just over 4 hours to make the 180 mile trip to Pioneer Park Campground. Most of the trip today was either up hill or down hill. Hardly any flat roads, but a very pretty drive.
We stopped for lunch at a rest area near Washington, PA., where we ate our travel lunch that Kitty always prepares for these trips. Folks in the rest area were very nice and several inquired about Kallie and asked if they could pet her. Of course, Kallie thoroughly enjoyed that!
Pioneer Park is a very nice campground. It is clean and well kept and has four fishing ponds, tennis courts, a basketball court, paddle boats, mini golf, game room, laundry, and plenty of ducks.

Here's a couple of the fishing ponds.
This would be a nice place to spend a few days. But, we are anxious to get to Gettysburg, so we will head out again in the morning. If all goes well, we should be set up in Gettysburg in time to map out our plan to tour the battle fields. I am getting excited and feel like this is the night before Christmas!
